Lunar Eclipse

I was remembering Jimmy Stewart in It’s A Wonderful Life when he said “what do you want Mary? You want me to lasso the moon?”

I photographed the lunar eclipse the other night, not crazy about most of the shots I got. Nothing dramatic. It was fun doing it because there were a bunch of people at Coronado Heights viewing the eclipse and I got to have some good conversations while I was there.

Since I did not get a single dramatic shot like some people do, I decided to make a composite of a shot of the moon before anything happened and then a series of shots taken every 10 minutes or so as the eclipse happened. Hope you like it!

The moon is orange here because it was just after sunset and the moon had just come up.

The sky was getting dark and it was about time for the eclipse to begin.

The shadow about half way.

The total eclipse over, and the moon beginning go glow again.
