Blackbird Sunset

The sun just set, and a huge number of red wing blackbirds is preparing to settle in for the night.

I realized I had not downloaded all of my Cheyenne Bottoms pictures. This realization struck when I took another set of pictures yesterday and found I had a couple weeks worth still sitting on the one camera. I had taken a couple of sunset shots that show an amazing number of blackbirds settling in for the night.

There was a large number of red wing blackbirds.

I also was trying out a lens that I have been debating on selling. I replaced it with a better lens, and after using it again I have to say this will be for sale. While it does take some decent pictures, my new one is so much better at getting action that there is no reason to put this on one of my cameras again.

At Hargis Creek, a deer checks out what that clicky noise is.

Just passing through the park.

Along Slate Creek, a goose prepares for a nap. If I will leave it alone!

I have an eye on you!

At the Wellington City Park, the geese are trying to decide just how much of a threat I am. Jump or sit?

Some fine dining to be had at the park.
