Loess Bluffs Part 3

A little later in the morning, the pelicans began to circle.

The last batch of pictures from Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Preserve in Missouri. I really did enjoy the visit and hope you have enjoyed the pictures.

There were a few swans about as well.

A swan having breakfast.

With the number of young eagles I see, I think we will be seeing more eagles in the future.

Another young bald eagle.

A young bald eagle sunbathing.

The second nest I saw, with a guardian.

Both of the adults were present.

I was surprised to see this little guy flying around, but it is still finding food!

The chaos of a large flock coming in to land.

A leaf mysteriously floating in mid air.

No sooner had the large flock landed but a bunch of them took off again. I soon saw why, as an eagle came gliding by.

Against the backdrop of a steady stream of geese leaving for more eagle-free waters, this young eagle circles for landing.

As the one eagle landed, I saw another one had already taken up station on a muskrat house.

In addition to eagles, there are also hawks.

Hawks really hate to have their pictures takes.

That wraps up the pictures from this visit. Hoping to get there again before long!

All of these pictures were taken with a Nikon Z5 and a Nikon 200-500 lens.
