New For This Week’s Show
This week, I will be at the Vintage Market Days - Rustic Charm show at the Wichita Sports Forum. I am really excited about this show, it seems to be shaping up to be a good one with 90 vendors or so. I have been receiving new stock for the show and hope I have enough!
As part of the orders I have placed for this event, I got the first print of a new image I will be displaying. This is a still life shot I made a couple years ago just as a quick test of some focus stacking software I had just purchased. I just needed a scene with some depth for the software to capture with the software controlling my camera. I think this was around fifty different shots all combined to give good focus throughout. Since it was just a quickly thrown together composition for testing I did not get picky about the shot setup, and the result was there were some problem areas in the picture that made it unusable. I was taking some additional training in Photoshop and learned about some filters you can apply that makes a photograph look like it was an oil painting. Just for grins I applied the filter to this picture and the areas that were problems just disappeared! I really like the look of this and I believe on canvas is the way to go with it since it looks like a painting! I have a 12x18 canvas print of this which will be on display this weekend.
Another picture that I recently put into print is the Milky Way Over The Homestead shot. I first showed it as a 8x10 print last weekend and it sold. I decided to go one size larger and get a metal print of it which looks great. I will have this in both the 11x14 metal print and 8x10 photo print.
The Windmill At Dawn picture is by far my most popular. For this weekend’s show I am introducing two new sizes for this image at 11x14, and 5x7. I have these in easel-backed canvas in both sizes, and in 11x14 metal print.
