Sunrise-Sunset-Night

One thing I am finding with having more than one camera is that I will take pictures and then put the camera down and not do anything with them for a while. So here are a couple of random shots from the last month or so.

The next two are from my astro shoot last weekend, and they are not very good. First time trying this particular camera at night and I’m just not that familiar with it yet. In some ways I am pleased I got this much but it will take more practice to get focus right. These two I am putting out there simply because it is interesting that they are exact same exposure except on the second on a car was coming down the road and put a lot more light in the scene. Both are 30 second long exposures.

Milky Way. Nikon D850, 14mm lens, 30 second exposure, ISO 1600. A little out of focus. The yellowish glow above the hills is from the lights of Medicine Lodge.

Exact picture and settings as the previous picture. On this one I had no sooner started the pic than I heard a car coming in the distance. This is how much more light a set of headlights can cast on the scene.
