More from Quivera National Wildlife Refuge. After spending the first part of the morning on the Wildlife Drive, I started touring around the reserve a bit more. This is a big place, and it takes some time to see much of it. The salt marshes are an important part of the refuge, but there is a lot of other environment there as well.

The morning I saw the whooping cranes shown in my last blog which was in early March, I also saw a lot of other birds and animals. This installment will give them some time. These are all pictures taken from the Wildlife Drive through the Big Salt Marsh at Quivera National Wildlife Refuge.

In March I made a trip to Quivera National Wildlife Refuge to see what migratory birds could be seen. In particular, I was hoping to see Whooping Cranes that stopover at the refuge and I had heard they were being seen regularly.
